Destiny "Noirai" Williams Levy, also known as Noirai.Nine, discovered her passion for writing at the tender age of nine. A Brundidge, AL raised  Yorktown, Virginia native, Destiny  was an avid reader who immersed herself in the worlds crafted within books, simultaneously exploring her own imagination. Her love for poetry was kindled during her middle school years and refined through her high school creative writing classes. Inspired by her teacher's original poetry, Destiny was encouraged to share her own works, embarking on a journey of self-discovery and artistic expression.

Destiny's academic journey led her to Alabama State University, where she majored in English Literature. During her tenure there, she co-founded a poetry group with her classmates, fostering a community of like-minded individuals passionate about the literary arts. She also became a member of the Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society, further cementing her commitment to the literary field. Performing locally under the stage names 01D aka 01Dthegoddess and 0nly1Destiny, she became a beloved figure in Montgomery, Alabama's vibrant art scene.

As Destiny navigated through her professional and personal life, she experienced a profound transformation. This metamorphosis led her to put down her pen temporarily as she sought to understand the changes within herself. The passion for writing and performing, which once burned brightly, became a distant memory. However, in 2023, Destiny re-emerged as Noirai, a name imbued with deep personal significance. Noirai is a play on the Greek goddesses of fate, symbolizing her acceptance and personification of destiny. The name also reflects her identity as a Black woman ("noir" in French means black) and acknowledges the age at which her writing talents first surfaced.

Under her new pseudonym, Noirai embraced a broader and more reflective artistic identity. She is a poet who writes in traditional, contemporary, and mixed styles, an R&B composer, a rap lyricist, and an author of short stories and essays. Noirai aspires to publish non-fiction books, expanding her impact and reach as a writer. Her works are often philosophical explorations of fate, identity, and personal growth, resonating deeply with her audience.

Noirai's performances and collaborations are collectively known as the Noirai9Xperience. This immersive artistic journey brings together poetry, music, and storytelling, offering a unique blend of her talents. Noirai enjoys collaborating with other artists, particularly those from the East Coast of the United States, where her voice and style are rooted. Her performances are a testament to her evolution as an artist and her ongoing quest to find and share her voice.
